Part of disaster planning is identifying resources in your community or neighborhood so that you aren't searching for important information during a disaster.

Who should you call?
Always call 911 in an emergency such as a fire, injury, or heart attack. During other disasters, calling 911 may not provide immediate assistance, so it is important to have contact information and addresses available for other emergency resources.

Your READY Resources
Complete a "My READY Profile" checklist in order to document resources that could provide assistance during a disaster, such as nearby hospitals, Red Cross shelters, Neighborhood Associations, Health Departments, Fire and Police Stations, and other contact information. Make sure to print out a copy and put it in your READY kit(s), and keep a copy in your car and at work.
